I graduated from Ottumwa High School and attended college at Indian Hills Community College. I have worked in Long Term Care for 19 years, 11 of them being here at NHCC. I started off in housekeeping/laundry, then went on to be a nursing assistant and restorative aide, and finally an Activity Director. I basically grew up in Nursing homes, as my mother and grandmother were both nurses there. My favorite part of working in nursing facilities is being able to hear our resident's stories and spending quality time with them. They have amazing stories and adventures if you take the time to listen. As for my hobbies, I love spending my summers in my pool and at the lake. My husband, Eric, and I enjoy jet skiing, camping, swimming, traveling, mowing, and spending time with family. My other passion in life is remodeling, decorating my home, and DIY projects.
