Director of Nursing – Justi Dhondt, RN
Justi grew up in Kellogg, IA and continues to live there raising her 4 children: Krayton, Tatum, Kenzli, and Trigg. She has been in the nursing field since 2001 starting in dietary and working her way up to nursing. Justi has experience in hospice, OB, med surg, working in local clinics and finding her passion in long term care with the elderly. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and her 2 dogs: Brodie and Louie!

Kim had several years of experience working as a business office manager before joining the team at Newton Health Care Center. Kim enjoys spending time at family gatherings, grandchildren’s sporting events, and community play. Kim joined the NHCC team in April of 2013.

Barb was raised on a farm outside of Colfax and have lived in this area all her life. She has been an Office Manager for over 10 years. Barb enjoys getting to know the residents and their families. She also enjoys reading, crocheting, and spending time with her husband.
Life Enrichment Director – Kim Judge
I graduated from Ottumwa High School and attended college at Indian Hills Community College. I have worked in Long Term Care for 22 years, 14 of them being here at NHCC. I started off in housekeeping/laundry, then went on to be a nursing assistant and restorative aide, and finally an Activity Director. I basically grew up in Nursing homes, as my mother and grandmother were both nurses there. My favorite part of working in nursing facilities is being able to hear our resident’s stories and spending quality time with them. They have amazing stories and adventures if you take the time to listen. As for my hobbies, I love spending my summers in my pool and at the lake. My husband, Eric, and I enjoy jet skiing, camping, swimming, traveling, mowing, and spending time with family. My other passion in life is remodeling, decorating my home, and DIY projects.
Social Worker – Mariah Fox
Mariah was born and raised in Northwest Iowa, receiving her Baccalaureate of Social Work in 2007. Mariah moved to Central Iowa in 2007 and has resided in Newton since 2012. Mariah has 15 years experience as social services in the areas of substance abuse, mental health and long term care. Mariah enjoys spending her free time with her children, hiking and kayaking.
